2013 Dodge Durango Recalled for Side Airbag Problem

Chrysler is voluntarily recalling the first batch of 2013 Dodge Durango SUVs due to the installation of mislabeled occupant restraint control modules. Designed for 5-passenger vehicles but installed in the 7-passenger Durango, the incorrect modules could reduce side-impact airbag effectiveness in certain types of collisions. Chrysler says the majority of the 1,661 Durangos impacted by the recall are still on dealer lots, and that to its knowledge, none of the SUVs that are parked in owner driveways have been involved in an accident.
